I still have some of that yummy silk yarn that I am planning on making into a belly dance top (and a belt if I have enough). I have crocheted for almost 30 years, too. My grandmother taught me when I was a little girl. I taught myself how to do tapestry crochet (it is surprisingly simple - all single crochet, and you carry the second color under the stitches). I love your woven scarves, too.

Wow!!! That's a very impressive design--turned out so vibrant and unique. I'd love to try tapestry crochet. No one in my area does it. Maybe I'll attempt to teach myself--I just wish I had the years of experience that some of you have under my belt.

P.S. Once you get the hang of it, you can use a lot of the charted designs from knitting patterns.
