Thanks,

Re: Hairpin crochet
Mon, November 21, 2005 - 7:12 PMYou mean as in hairpin lace? Or as in patterns for hair pins? Here are some hair pin designs:

www.crochetme.com/Feb_Mar_2...rettes.htm
As for hairpin lace, that looks cool, but I don't know squat about it. :) t -

Wed, November 23, 2005 - 3:41 PMThank you for the links.
I did mean hairpin lace. I have no Idea how much the stuff stretches or how long to make each strip of lace and though I have some idea how to join strips I'd like to see some examples so I know my options. -

Re: Hairpin crochet
Fri, November 25, 2005 - 10:04 AMhairpin lace is the neatest looking stuff! the yarn store where my crochet group meets (www.goknit.com/) has classes once every other month, but i don't have the $$ to get started. the class is $35 & then you have to get the equipment. the girl who is in charge of our group got a pattern book from 1940-something for her birthday. her sister bought it online. it's got a whole dress pictured on the front made from the hairpin lace technique. bee-yoo-tee-ful! -

Re: Hairpin crochet
Wed, September 12, 2007 - 6:42 AMI've tried hairpin lace, and it's just not coming out right. I think I need to have someone show me how to do it, pictures don't work for me. It's frustrating, too, because I do all kinds of needlework and I feel so clumsy!
