anyone have a good pattern for those really long "elf" hats? you know, the ones that are just basic pointy hats but hang down to your butt?
i want to make them for all the kids for next winter but since it would be around 7 of them i have to get started now?

i'm a very very beginner so i would have no Clue as to adjust a regular hat.

thanks!

  • I started making these as a beginner by making the hat starting circle from any pattern and then increasing(doing two stiches in one hole) only once or twice each time around. I t has worked for me but as I am dyslexic and can't read patterns I am used to fudging things along.
Once you get the length you want you can add more stiches each go round to get the head size right. And don't be afraid to take it apart and start over once you get the idea.
    • thanks everyone!

i'm really looking forward to this. ")

esp since my oldest nephew loves the colors blue and orange, and those are auburn colors, and my little bro is a big lsu fan.....hahahhaahaa!
