Does anyone have any they like? Do you subscribe or just grab them off the shelf when you see one that interests you?

  • i LOVE interweave knits crochet. i have bought a few issues and i simply won't allow myself to get a subsciption because there are literally at least 10 projects in each issue i've bought that i have wanted to make and i just don't have the time or money to torture myself with them!
    • You should still get the subscription, because then someday when you do have the time and money you will be able to make all thoughs wonderful things.
      • i totally should -- but it's like torture! for example, there is this skirt in an issue i have from over a year ago that i have been dying to make and i have dreams about it (seriously, i am that wierd). the yarn alone for it costs almost $70. yowch! my yarn "stash" (it's more of a mountain, actually) is already taking over my living room and if i had $70 more worth of yarn in that pile the guilt would kill me!!

but that being said, i like the way you think!
        • I love clothing, I knit and crochet. But it seems I'm always busy with smaller, quick projects that I never get to those dream projects like your skirt! Someday, someday!

Smaller stuff is just quicker and the yarn doesn't add up so fast, lol!
        • Yeah, but if you think about it you how often do you make a hat or a scarf. Yarn for hats usually run about $10 and for a scarf $20 to $30. so if you made 7 hats, that is the same amount as your skirt, but you are much more likely to wear the skirt than all seven hats regularly. And you will totally love it and be incredibly proud of it. You should totally make it.
  • I get
Crochet and Crochet World got them thru Annie's Attic
    • I'm not a fan of crocheted clothes (because in reality, men can't pull them off) but love to crochet so I have been know to get into doily phases. For that, I grab Magic Crochet from the newstand. Probably the best, most innovatie doilies you will ever see, but they're notoriously difficult to contact.
